Canada finally has its first province to ban bottled water from provincially ran buildings. In the past municipalities, school boards as well as universities and colleges took the first steps of banning bottled water from sale. MARCH 11th, 2010 is Bottled Water Free Day!
Make sure that on March 11th, 2010 you put that bottle of water down and turn on the tap. Bottled water free day is being organized by the Polaris Institute, the Canadian Federation of Students as well as the Sierra Youth Coalition.

December 17th, 2009, Brandon University in Brandon Manitoba is the 3rd Canadian University to ban bottled water from their campus. The Universities president as well as the vice chancellor officially signed a water pledge today. This pledge will completely eliminate the sale and distribution of Bottled Water on Campus.
